Letterboxing WHAT?

Letterboxing ROCKS! I know many of you are saying what is that? Well check out this awesome site for more info click here

I love how I can put in an area and it tells me what letterboxes are located near there. I came across one that had 6 to find in a central location. Not only that but it is within a park that has multi-use trails for horses and people. It was a 65-68 degree day, sunny and light breeze. Considering it is the end of November in the Midwest that is saying something. Along the way there was much conversation, racing, guessing and observation. Littlest saw some hickory nuts and keep calling them coconuts, really screaming the word out startling us all. It got to be an inside joke within the group, her feverishly collection growing. If there is one priceless thing about hanging out with my niece, nephew and kids it is the laughter. These times do like a medicine covering a multitude of frustration between us all.
After a bit of time we crossed through numerous prairie section. The youngest boys "the twins" we constantly racing ahead of us all. They decided to hide amongst the grass and jump out scaring whomever walked by next. This worked with cousin C but then escalated to the next level since everyone was on the lookout for pouncers. Sadly #2, and #4 did complain of tired feet alot. So much so we sat while the troop marched ahead to the last find. It can be so disappointing sometimes but this too shall pass.
I did forget to pack water bottles, snacks yes, drinks no. Other than that it was a complete success and I can't wait to do more of these adventures. I have no doubt they all would agree.
